I grew up in the small town of Worland, Wyoming. I was a typical Wyoming girl with a strong work ethic early on. Throughout my childhood I took care of sheep, pigs, horses and general hobby farm chores. I found my voice through theatre and pursued a Theatre degree in Education as well as an English Teaching degree at the University of Northern Colorado in 2005. From there I found myself teaching at Natrona County High School as a Drama and English teacher. It was this career that started my movement towards mental health.
Several students would come and lay out their stories and I found myself wanting more direction in how to help them heal. In 2009, I started my journey in mental health by starting my Master's Degree program in Counseling Education with the University of Wyoming. I graduated in 2011 and took on my first job as a CWCC school-based counselor in Casper, WY. In 2014, I shifted my job towards a small Employee Family Assistance Program called Three Trails EFAP. After a year as a full time therapist, I moved into the Executive Director position. Finding a desire to get back to being just a counselor, I started her own private practice in 2024.
During my spare time, I enjoy gardening, reading, watching movies and spending time with my family.
This is your journey and choosing a therapist to travel with you is an important step towards the light at the end of the tunnel. I have traveled with many amazing people through their quests toward healing. The bumps in the road included anxiety, depression, life changes, gender concerns, romantic concerns, trauma experiences and many other bumps that have occurred in life's road.
Do you seek an experienced guide during your travels? I have 13 years of experience. Let me walk with you through the thorn bushes and out into the open field.
